Copy and Paste on Windows Mobile

Scissors Mobile is a $15 program that will give you the ability to cut, copy and paste text on Windows Mobile Smartphones. If you have a Motorola Q, Samsung Blackjack or T-Mobile's Dash, this might be an invaluable tool.

It's very simple to get installed, and I am very happy with it thus far.

It's asinine that you have to pay $15 to cut, copy, and paste in Windows Mobile! This is just another example of why this platform (and Windows in general) is going nowhere. Watch for its imminent demise in the near future.

Be aware: the Scissors Mobil will not cut and paste into the BlackJack's Calendar. This is the number 1 place I need to paste: I get meeting info and bridge numbers sent in email and without being able to paste into the calendar, I am forced to write all this stuff down, and then re-enter it in the calendar. I sent Handango an email about this--no response. I will only be able to put up with this a short while longer after which point, I plunk down the bucks to migrate from Blackjack to something better.

Is copy and paste going to come with Windows Mobile 6? Will we be able to turn off stupid T-9 in WM 6? Thanks.

To the blackjack guy... save your money. This isn't a problem with your phone (pda and blackjack owner here) but a windows mobile problem for smartphones alone.

Try this one for copying and pasting...

Also keep in mind that copying and pasting actual calendar appointments is simply a functionality lacking in windows mobile calendar and it isn't the same as copying and pasting text from fields to fields. Therefore, VitoCopyPaste won't work for this at all...

To the T9 guy... In WM 5, You should be able to change your input text mode under the phone settings... Settings > Text Input Mode > T9 Prediction: Off

Cheers
