If you need to get Windows Server 2003 (including the R2 versions) running on older Compaq Proliant servers, you may find that the Smart Start CD's you have do not offer support for anything after Windows 2000.
After much pain and fighting, I found that if you use the Smart Start CD's and choose Windows 2000 Advanced Server as your OS, everything will be right with the world.
