iPhone not sending pictures or whole pictures via e-mail

Ok, so the 3G iPhone intended to be the greatest thing since sliced bread, right? Well, let's be honest, sometimes that sliced bread gets a touch of mold. In this case, my moldy slice is the 3G network itself. We had an iPhone 3G user upgrade from 2.0 to 2.1 this week and all of the sudden they could no longer send photos taken on their phone using e-mail. They could forward an old message with the identical picture from before the upgrade and all was gravy, but now they were only able to send a fraction of the picture and it even tried to resend the defunct picture multiple times. What a great "feature"! After a considerable amount of searching, I found a post where someone turned  the 3G network off (Settings --> General --> Network --> Enable 3G off/on) on their phone and this actually solved the issue. It seems that there is something on the3G network that caused this issue, but the post I read says that the user took his iPhone to AT&T and they replaced the SIM card and everything was hunky dorey from there. Just goes to show you, just cuz a slice is moldy doesn't mean you have to ditch the whole loaf!
